Network Engineering from a Team That Runs Its Own Network

Design, monitoring, routing and troubleshooting for network operators and businesses worldwide. We operate our own autonomous system, AS31732, on the Internet since 2004, and we engineer your network with the same discipline we apply to ours.

What We Do

Five ways we work with network teams, from a single design review to a full project delivered end to end.

Network Design & Consulting

Architecture and capacity planning for new builds, expansions and redesigns, from a single site to multi-homed operator networks.

  • Topology and capacity review
  • Addressing and routing plan
  • Redundancy and failover design
  • A documented design your team can build from

Monitoring & Visibility

Monitoring and alerting built around how your network actually runs, so problems surface before your customers notice them.

  • Device and link monitoring
  • Traffic and capacity graphs
  • Alerting tuned to your operations
  • Dashboards your team can use from day one

BGP & Routing

Internet routing designed and configured by engineers who announce their own address space every day.

  • Multihoming and upstream setup
  • Peering and IXP connectivity
  • Routing policy and prefix filtering
  • RPKI and ROA configuration

Troubleshooting & Performance

Hard-to-find problems diagnosed and fixed, on networks we built or ones we inherit.

  • Routing and reachability issues
  • Firewall and policy problems
  • Packet loss, latency and throughput
  • Root-cause findings, not workarounds

Network Projects, End to End

Rollouts, migrations and upgrades delivered as one project, with a single team accountable from plan to cut-over.

  • New sites and expansions
  • Migrations and cut-overs
  • Hardware and software upgrades
  • Handover with documentation

Platforms we work with include MikroTik RouterOS and LibreNMS, among others.

Engineering from an Operator

The difference between a network that works and one that keeps working is usually experience running one.

01

Operator Experience

We operate AS31732, on the Internet since 2004, with our own presence at NEXTDC S1 in Sydney and peering at EdgeIX. Our advice comes from operating a network, not only from configuring one.

02

Routing and Address Space Together

Need IPv4 as well? Lease it from our own inventory and we handle the routing, ROA and geolocation as one engagement.

03

Any Network, Any Provider

We work on your network wherever it runs. You do not need Parsun IP space, servers or connectivity to engage us.

04

Root Cause First

We find out why something fails before we change it, and we document what we found and what we did.

How We Work

Every engagement follows the same disciplined sequence, sized to the job.

  1. 1

    Assess

Requirements, current topology, constraints and risks.

  2. 2

    Design

A clear plan with scope, sequencing and rollback.

  3. 3

    Implement

Changes made in agreed windows, with minimal disruption.

  4. 4

    Verify

Routing, performance and monitoring confirmed against the plan.

  5. 5

    Hand Over

Documentation and a walkthrough for your team.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you work on a network you did not build?

Yes. Much of our work starts with reviewing and fixing an existing network, including ones built by other providers.

Do I need to use Parsun IP space or servers?

No. We support any network, wherever it runs and whoever provides its connectivity.

Do you work with clients outside Australia?

Yes. We work remotely with operators and businesses worldwide.

Can you combine network work with IPv4 leasing?

Yes. You can lease address space from our inventory and we configure the routing, ROA and geolocation as part of the same engagement.

Can we peer with AS31732?

Yes. We have an open peering policy and connect at EdgeIX Sydney. Our PeeringDB record lists current details.

How does an engagement start?

With a short assessment of your requirements and current setup. We then propose an approach, scope and next steps before any work begins.
